About the Project

This is a categorized short video clip compilation for intermediate – advanced Chinese language learners, who have been taken two years’ disciplined Chinese instruction or equivalent. This compilation covers various topics which were frequently discussed in class, such the development of China since Reform and Opening-up (改革开放), China’s traditions and changes, environmental protection education, freedom of speech, people’s views to sex, dating, and marriage, etc..

This compilation serves well as complementary materials to intermediate – Advanced Chinese class, and it particularly caters the need of textbook users of All Things Considered (《事事关心》), and Eyes on China (《我看中国》). As a self-taught Chinese language learner, one would find this compilation very helpful improving their Chinese language and culture proficiency.

About the Author

Wei Gong, Chinese language lecturer of Department of East Asian Studies, was appointed at Princeton University in Spring 2015. She earned her M.A. in Chinese Linguistics and Language Acquisition from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has experience teaching Chinese at different levels of difficulties. Prior to joining Princeton University, she taught Chinese in various institutions, such as Brown University, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University. She also taught at Princeton in Beijing summer program.
