Summary
This map shows the vast amount traffic of Spain, and other European countries, to and from the Caribbean from 1500 to 1800. Upon discovery, the Spanish exported many resources such as gold, silver, tobacco and sugar from Central America and the Caribbean, financing their empire during this time period. The major exports taken by Spain were gold, silver, sugar, tobacco and cochineal. .
