European Imperialism in the Muslim World
Summary
This map shows the territories of the Muslim world that were under European control or influence in 1920. There were only a few independent Muslim states; the others were under the control or influence of one of following imperial powers: British, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, United States, or Russia. The map also indicates which portions of China had a high concentration of Muslims.
