Amy Abdalla is a rising Junior from Bayonne, New Jersey. She is majoring in Near Eastern Studies, with a focus on Arabic, and pursuing certificates in Journalism and the History and Practice of Diplomacy. At Princeton, Amy is a Fellow at the Carl A. Fields Center for Equality and Cultural Understanding, and an intern for the Office of Religious Life’s Refugee and Resettlement project. Her family hails from Alexandria, Egypt and she loves talking about it.

 

 

Jack Allen is a rising junior from Mossley, England. He is majoring in Slavic Studies, and pursuing certificates in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies, French, Chinese and Journalism. Outside of the classroom, Jack is co-president of the Princeton US-China Coalition, a board member for Camp Kesem Princeton, and a member of the club field hockey team. He also loves eating, and occasionally writing about, food.

 

Brillian Bao is a rising senior from Edison, NJ. She is majoring in Politics and pursuing certificates in Journalism and Statistics and Machine Learning. Outside of class, she is a freelance journalist with the University Press Club and a Residential College Advisor. She loves tea, graphic design, and late night talk shows.

 

Jimin Kang is a rising junior majoring in Spanish and Portuguese, with certificates in Journalism, Environmental Studies and Latin American Studies. She is from Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Hong Kong. On campus, she does freelance reporting for the University Press Club and belly dances with Raqs. She likes to tast Greek foods, and keeps her eyes peeled for stories related to food politics and urban affairs.

 

Marissa Michaels is a rising sophomore from Hightstown, NJ.  She has yet to chose a major and is pursuing certificates in Journalism and American Studies. At Princeton, Marissa is a news writer for The Daily Princetonian, an advising fellow for Matriculate, a member of SPEAR and an acapella singing group. When she has free time, she loves to see theater, watch TV,  and talk to interesting people.

 

 

Natalie Nagorski is a rising senior studying East Asian Studies and journalism, with a particular focus on women in politics. From Brooklyn, she spent a year in southwest China working for an environmental nonprofit and learning Mandarin. On campus, she is active with the Princeton U.S. China Coalition, in addition to working as a tour guide and a Residential College Advisor. She loves the ocean and board games.

 

Tom Salotti is a rising junior from Arlington, Virginia. He is pursuing a degree in anthropology and certificates in journalism and entrepreneurship. Tom is a sports editor at the Daily Princetonian and leads a volunteer organization called Get Set.

 

Anna Wolcke is a rising senior from Germany who is majoring in Comparative Literature. She hopes to become an investigative journalist with a focus on criminal justice and women’s issues.  At Princeton, she works with the Prison Teaching Initiative, the Writing Center, and the International Center. She is learning how to take photos of which she can feel proud.

Lazaros Beltsios is a Greek journalist, investigative reporter and television producer.
