DOMINGO: PRIMER DÍA EN ECUADOR
Después de un largo viaje, llegamos la noche del sábado a nuestro hotel en Guayaquil. Disfrutamos de un delicioso desayuno con vistas al río y salimos para la hacienda La Danesa. En el camino a la Danesa vimos muchos tipos diferentes de árboles, como los bananos.
En la hacienda, nos enseñaron cómo crece el cacao y tuvimos una pequeña demostración en la que pudimos creamos nuestras propias barras de chocolate.
Después de un almuerzo exquisito, tomamos el autobús hacia Riobamba. Es increíble ver cómo cambia el paisaje al ir subiendo a la Sierra.
Al llegar a Riobamba fuimos directos al hospital de Fibuspam donde encontramos a su director, David Guacho. Depués de un pequeño tour, fuimos al hotel para cenar y descansar. Mañana tendremos nuestra primera caravana!
After a long trip, we arrived at our hotel Saturday night in Guayaquil. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with views to the river and left for the Hacienda La Danesa. On our way to la Danesa, we saw many different types of trees, such as banana trees. At the hacienda, they showed us how cacao grows and after they had us make our own chocolate bars. After an exquisite lunch, we took the bus towards Riobamba. It was incredible to see how the landscape changes on our way up La Sierra.
When we arrived to Riobamba, we went straight to the Fibuspam clinic and met David Guacho, the director. After a short tour, we arrived to the hotel where we had dinner and some rest. Tomorrow will be our first caravan!
