Hi everyone,
Here is my final project in which I explored the connections between Sondheim and classical music.
For the first part of my project, I matched a selection of Sondheim songs with classical music excerpts based on similarities I found from doing my own listening research and reviewing scores. Taking a few creative liberties with chords and accompaniments, I used GarageBand to record myself on violin playing each track.
For the second part of my project, I wrote a commentary on my recording, explaining the reasoning behind each pairing and what to listen for. I hope you enjoy!
