Gastronomy, Placemaking, and War: Mapping SPAM’s Global Regionalism

A project that explores how food is embedded in processes of claiming and reclaiming identity and place. With SPAM as its site, it examines the complexities of meaning that the product has at global, regional, and individual scales. Using ArcGIS StoryMaps, this project is positioned in active dialogue with questions concerning strategies of digital cartographic practice.
