This browser extension detects advertising content on a webpage, replacing it with a black square and information about racist or injust actions taken by the advertising company.
Using augmented reality filters, this project replaced names of buildings named after slaveholders, white supremacists, and those who profited disproportionately from African labor — with names of prominent alumni of color. The project took aim at shifting the experience of campus among students of color to one of joy and belonging.
