Whether a precept, seminar, or lecture, class sessions are enhanced by communication and the sharing of information. In-class feedback can take the form of a show of hands, an online poll, wordcloud, or an audience response system (‘clickers’). The goal is the same: to encourage two-way communication, spur discussion, and to provide insight into student understanding.

Piazza is an online question-and-answer format communication platform available through Princeton’s Blackboard learning management system.   Piazza supports in-class collaboration through discussion, voting and polling.
