In this gallery, we're inviting your recollections about the specific ties between Princeton and the events in Trenton in April 1968. Many towns in the region were involved in the response to Trenton’s unrest—sending law enforcement and community organizers to help keep the peace, and others came to help clean up. We have some visual evidence of a march in Princeton protesting Harlan Joseph’s shooting. This comes from the newspaper article below in the university paper, and also as filmed by the Associated Press. Some of Harlan Joseph’s Lincoln University classmates were at Princeton for a conference at this time. We'd like to learn more about who organized and participated in these events.
