This photo is one of the few photos of looting damage we can find (and we’re looking for a better copy). It shows Donald Cogsville, of UPI, surveying the damage, “near Battle Monument.” We’ve had the good fortune to talk to him, but he didn’t arrive on the scene until later in the evening. Can you offer details about the events that preceded this photo? Did you have your own experiences of the aftermath of these events?
