The box is made of plywood.
Its dimensions are 18in by 14in by 5in. Inside the box houses the mechanical aspects of the project. A 9v motor is connected to an elastic band that spins a circular piece of woof which is connected to the wooden platform on the surface which when spun will spin the record placed on top of it. The needle can be placed on the record and the music is played out of a simple paper speaker. Additionally there is a potentiometer connected to the motor which can be adjusted by a knob on the top that will allow us to control the speed at which the record spins. We used wood glue and clamped the individual sides together to create the box. We first put the sides and bottom together and then placed the top on once the interior mechanical pieces were placed inside.[/vc_column_text][vc_zigzag el_border_width=”8″ css=”.vc_custom_1553988641874{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text]

Design Drawings

[/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1593118583919-c89016b8-2da1-8″ include=”1695″][vc_zigzag css=”.vc_custom_1553988654467{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text]

Fabrication Process

[/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1593118583933-9f72d928-5692-2″ include=”1699,1698,1697,1696″][vc_zigzag css=”.vc_custom_1553988664868{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_zigzag el_border_width=”8″ css=”.vc_custom_1553988634650{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text] Students Robert Anderson, Jake Stevens, Alexander Vardaro[/vc_column_text][vc_zigzag el_border_width=”8″ css=”.vc_custom_1553988638130{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text] Project Description Our project is a vinyl record player.
