Alex Hunter tells the story of a small town uniquely impacted by the US-Canada border closure, and the grocery store holding it together.
Full description:
South of Vancouver, Canada, is a small peninsula that dips just below the border into the United States. It’s called Point Roberts, and it’s home to a little over a thousand people, the majority of whom are Canadians. Now with the border closed due to the pandemic, and with most of the Canadians gone, Point Roberts has become one of the most isolated places in America. This is the story of this small town, and the grocery store holding it together.
