Some of Poret’s illustrations, like page 10,  clearly utilize the Russian lubok style with its lack of visual perspective in an attempt to synchronize multiple incidents of the Revolution and to present them as a unified and sweeping outburst of the people’s will of nearly cosmic, spiritual proportions.
