What is a "Preparing to Lead" internship?
Rising juniors and seniors spend their summer working for a company. They receive exposure to high levels of corporate leadership. Employers designate a "Leader" -- a senior executive in the company -- who commits to spending time (about 30 minutes per week) in a two-way discussion with the student. Discussions can range from the meaning of leadership to the company's context in its industry to career guidance and advice. Many of the Keller Center internships are Preparing to Lead internships. If an internship is a Preparing to Lead opportunity, you will see a PTL symbol on the flier.
