
In light of the alleged technical glitch that shocked Wall Street last May, the Keller Center has invited Goldman Sachs' managing director of technology, Joseph Squeri, to give a lecture on high-frequency trading and discuss potential errors caused by complex trading algorithms.
About the speaker
Joe Squeri is managing director of technology at Goldman Sachs, where he joined in 2000. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Joe was managing director of Technology at Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust for 10 years. Joe also worked as a systems consultant at Credit Suisse/First Boston, developing equity and mortgage trading systems, as well as various back-office clearance and settlement systems. Joe also held a senior level position in a New York-based consulting services firm, specializing in technology infrastructure including networking, telecommunications, data center management and operations. He began his career as a systems consultant at IBM.
