The IEEE and IBM team up to give visibility into life as an engineer
The IEEE and IBM have teamed up to provide guidance to students considering careers in education. They've developed a web site called TryEngineering.
While primarily aimed at kids 8 to 18, there is much useful information for undergraduate students at the university level. Specifically, the About section of the site states that "Students will find here descriptions of the lifestyles and experiences of engineers, and on the different disciplines within engineering."
Freshman and sophomores often wonder what life will be like as they enter the workforce and this site provides some insight into that subject, including interviews from real people with real engineering careers across a variety of engineering disciplines. Check out the Life of an Engineer section.
